“In December 2011 I came to Paris with Georgios Sotiropoulos, my sound engineer, to record a new album and we were astonished when we discovered the Prodipe brand.
We saw that Prodipe products were being used in the big French studios. When we compared their speakers and mics with the top brands, we realised that they were identical in quality. This aroused our curiosity even more, so we asked lots of questions and received lots of answers.
The Prodipe brand is a result of the fusion between the know-how of French people in the music business and the talents of a manufacturer. If we look at the music profession, it’s not because earnings have gone down that the standard of performance has also gone down. Prodipe have understood this completely. They have the manufacturing skills and knowledge to produce cheaper equipment, but at the same time they have made sure that the quality of the audio hasn’t altered.
All we hear is talk of crisis and austerity plans when we haven’t been responsible for what our politicians have done, well, it’s clear to us that a brand like Prodipe can make their mark in Greece. They can offer quality at a lower price. The value for money you get when you buy their products is phenomenal and that’s why we have opted for Prodipe.
Test their products out for yourselves.
Let your ears decide!”

- Nikola Vardis - Bass Player-Composer
Born in the 50ʼs in Greece he begins his musical journey in his teen years. Oddly the first instrument that caught his attention was the guitar but he quickly changes to the low frequencies of bass guitar. He gets involved in various local rock bands of the time playing classics from Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Hendrix.
Around his 20ʼs he decides to move to Paris (France) and attends lessons on modern jazz harmony by Jeff Gilson. Soon enough he gets in touch with French fellow musicians that share common influences and joins various bands like the band of Robert Lefont, participates in recording of famous French artists like Peyrac and performs at local jazz clubs.
It is at that time when he meets the French drummer Claude Salmieri for the first time while at the same time Salmieri was performing with France Gall and Michel Berger. Upon meeting Claude Salmieri they became friends and start jamming together which ultimately led to performing at Salmieriʼs personal record called “Pierrot Lunaire”.
Due to personal circumstances he returns to Greece and becomes a session player for various local artists and composers like Anna Vissi,Haris Alexiou,George Theofanous,Antonis Vardis and Sakis Rouvas. He holds a record as the only bass player in Greece that has participated in so many music records, starting back in 1985 until this very day, while performing live gigs all over Greece and the entire world. At the same time he performs his own music and has performed with few of the most renounced jazz musicians of Greece like Lakis Zois,George Trantalidis,Marcos Alexiou,Alex Foster,Chris Stasinopoulos,Savas Christodouloy,David Lynch and Tony Lakatos.
He currently devotes his entire time in composing and recording his personal album and putting together his instructional book for bass playing while at the same time teaching the art of music to the younger aspiring musicians that play the bass guitar.
