As the most important part of a sound card is its audio chipset, we tested quite a few from C-Media and Texas Instruments. In my opinion, the C-Media chipsets, although everywhere on the market, are not as accurate as they should be.
Compared to C-Media, Texas Instruments offer chipsets that are highly effective, showcasing a very accurate audio definition. Even if it meant increasing the budget, we were happy to fit our interfaces with these more professional chipsets.
