His career began in 1976 alongside Yves Simon, followed by collaborations with Magma from 1978 to 1980. Salmiéri has worked with artists such as Ray Charles, France Gall, Michel Berger, Renaud, Don Cherry and Marvin Gaye, and has participated in musicals such as "Starmania" and "Notre-Dame de Paris". In 1991, he released his first solo album, "Self Portrait", and in 1996, he co-founded the group STS with Jannick Top, producing the album "Système solaire". Alongside his jazz quartet, he composes and produces for various artists, and since 2005, he has been collaborating with the brand Prodipe to develop drum kits and microphones under his name.
