Denis Benarrosh

Denis Benarrosh is a French percussionist and drummer born on 4 November 1955 in Casablanca and raised in Nice. A major figure on the French music scene, he is renowned for his subtle, acoustic and vintage playing. Since the late 1980s, he has accompanied numerous artists in the studio and on stage, including Francis Cabrel, Claude Nougaro, Benjamin Biolay, Céline Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Julien Clerc, Florent Pagny and Patrick Bruel. He has contributed to over 400 albums. Benarrosh stands out for his refined artistic approach, treating each percussion instrument as a voice. He often uses vintage instruments and has also published a teaching manual on the djembe. He now lives in the Paris region.
