With 30 years of broadcasting, Graffiti Urban Radio is now recognised as a key emerging player in the Yonay landscape, covering a broadcast area of 30 kilometres representing a catchment area of around 120,000 inhabitants.
In a few figures, Graffiti Urban Radio is:
- 26 years on air at 88.6 FM.
- 30 km broadcast range around La Roche-sur-Yon.
- More than 50 members.
- Around twenty themed programmes.
- Created in 1986 by the Saint-André-d'Ornay youth centre, the Graffiti Urban Radio adventure was only supposed to last one summer. Twenty-five years later, the radio station is still there, firmly rooted in the La Roche-sur-Yon landscape.
- It has around fifty members and three employees.
Today, the Graffiti association is made up of more than 50 volunteers who use radio as a means of expression through numerous programmes. These programmes cover a wide range of topics, including news, culture, local affairs, music and politics. Three employees are responsible for the radio station's operations, administration, programming, training and development, as well as journalism assignments.
