Biography

La Souris déglinguée (LSD) is a French alternative rock band, formed on the streets of Paris and its suburbs around singer Tai-Luc in 1976, and still active today. The band's repertoire, remarkable for its musical and cultural eclecticism, ranges from punk to sixties rock, from Oi! to dub via rap and rock 'n' roll, and its themes extend from Vietnam to the "red" suburbs of Paris.

La Souris Déglinguée is a punk rock band that has forged its reputation on stage, but also thanks to the support of critics, from Laurent Chalumeau, who has never stopped supporting them since the early 1980s in Rock&Folk magazine, to Philippe Manœuvre.

LSD's first "official" concert took place in Sarcelles, in the Val d'Oise, in 1979, and their first single was financed by their friends.

From 1983 onwards, the band constantly innovated and did not hesitate to build bridges with other musical styles by introducing brass, accordion and female vocals, as on the album Aujourd'hui et Demain. Known for having one of the largest and most uncontrollable fan bases in France, the International Raya Fan Club (I.R.F.C.), themselves from the "periphery", the themes of LSD's songs resemble them and speak poetically about everyday life, with beautiful melodies in the compositions and a kind of obsession with Vietnam and Asia, dear to Tai-Luc.

In December 2005, the band released Mekong, their fifteenth album, and in 2006, the album Live au Glaz'art, accompanied by a DVD.

In 2009, the album As-tu déjà oublié was released on the Clandestines label. Mixed by Rémi Berger, these very first recordings by LSD date back to 1980.

On Saturday 23 January 2010, the band celebrated three decades of existence at the Bataclan on Boulevard Voltaire in Paris.

In 2012, LSD played at the Midi Festival in Shanghai and Beijing under the name fengkuangzhishu faguoyuedui (疯狂之鼠法国乐队).

In 2014, LSD's psycho-jazz resonated at the New Morning, the chapel of the Fresnes prison, and the Franco-British street-punk festival in Boqueho.

During the first months of 2015, concerts in Toulouse, Perpignan, and Chez Paulette in Toul were all preludes to
the "Musicorama lysergique" on Saturday, 9 May at the Olympia in Paris.
