Nathan Gaumont

Nathan started playing guitar in 2007 at the age of 14, introduced to the instrument by his uncle, who had been playing for several years.

He was already immersed in music with his family and was lucky enough to discover bands such as AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, ZZ Top, Nirvana and Metallica at a very early age, which had a huge influence on him.

He began playing on his own and with his uncle's help before joining the UNIS-SONS music school in Conflans Ste Honorine (78) in 2008.

He mainly studied electric guitar, but also folk guitar and music theory.

During this period, he formed his first rock band, Dark Summer, with his sister on bass and a friend on guitar, which was later renamed Venice Story.

Like many young musicians, they played songs by the Ramones and Nirvana in their garage!

For his part, he continued to practise his instrument for several hours a day.

At the end of 2009, his childhood friend joined the band as a drummer, they began rehearsing in a studio and started playing gigs.

Unable to find a singer, Nathan began singing in the band and in 2011, he took group singing lessons at a cultural centre near Plaisir (78).

After high school, he was admitted to a private school for audiovisual and performing arts in 2013.

He was taught sound, lighting, studio recording and electricity.

That same year, he began teaching guitar and gave lessons to a few students while continuing his training.

In September 2014, he auditioned for the position of rhythm guitarist in an 80s hard rock band called Ice Crime and was accepted.

After obtaining his diploma as a multi-skilled technician in 2015, he started his own business and worked full-time as a guitar teacher.

He launched his YouTube channel in 2016 under the pseudonym "Drakster," with a programme dedicated to guitarists (educational videos, covers, and equipment advice).

He currently teaches in a small area of the Yvelines region (Poissy, Villennes-sur-Seine, Triel-sur-Seine, Achères and the surrounding area).

He continues to passionately share his knowledge and gain stage experience through various musical projects.
